Libby moved to Leesburg in 1999, where she resides in a restored, century-old house in the Leesburg Historic District. She loves to capture in the brilliant luminescence of pastel many of the charms of rural and historic Leesburg and environs.
She is the third generation of her family to have become a painter. She grew up watching her maternal grandmother and mother create oil paintings during summer vacations and remembers fondly the distinctive smell of fresh oil paintings in her grandmother’s West Texas studio.
